Station News:
Almost 300 walkers took part in the Great Wild Atlantic Marathon Walk on the 11th August, in spite of the wet and foggy day so accurately forecasted!! A great turnout. It started at 0930 at the boathouse and the last participants in arrived at the finishing line at 1930hrs that evening. (Their time may have a=included a lunch hour in Deasys in Ring :-) ) but well done to all, and Thank you. The event raised more than €6000 for the lifeboat. 118 completed the full marathon and 144 finished the half marathon 50 others completed the 10k or 5k distance.
